Laurent Vercauteren advises leading banks, financial institutions, sponsors, and corporate borrowers on high-value cross-border acquisition finance, syndicated lending, project finance, and refinancing transactions.

His practice encompasses leveraged acquisition finance, secured financing, project finance, and public-private partnerships. He has represented lenders and borrowers in some of Belgium's most significant corporate and project finance transactions and has considerable experience in distressed debt situations and restructurings.

Laurent's representative transactions include advising a six-bank syndicate comprising of ABN AMRO, Belfius Bank, Rabobank, Crédit Agricole, KBC Bank, and Société Générale on a €500 million facilities to the Port of Antwerp-Bruges; BNP Paribas Fortis and Belfius Bank on project financing of battery energy storage systems developed by HybriX in Belgium; BNP Paribas Fortis and KBC Bank on financing the Korys-backed acquisition of GeoXYZ; Aperam S.A. on financing from Belfius Bank, ING Belgium, and KBC Bank; various lenders on the refinancing of the Accuramed Group, the EMI Group, and the SISU Group; and various lenders on the amendment and restatement of senior financing for the PIA Group.
