Morgan Schauer practices intellectual property law, with a focus on technology, licensing, and commercial transactions. Morgan regularly advises clients on complex technology transactions, including drafting and negotiating license, collaboration, development, software, nondisclosure, supply, service, settlement, and other commercial agreements. She also advises clients on various IP compliance issues, including the use of open source, AI (artificial intelligence), and generative AI.
Morgan is regularly involved in the intellectual property and technology aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including drafting and negotiating deal documents and performing due diligence on a company's intellectual property portfolio and commercial agreements. Morgan represents buy-side and sell-side clients in this capacity.
Morgan's experience includes representing clients in a variety of industries, including software, technology, education, health care, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, apparel, retail, media, and entertainment.
Morgan also maintains an active pro bono practice, advising various nonprofit organizations on charitable transactions and corporate matters and representing individuals seeking asylum in the United States as a part of the Firm's Border Project.
