Eliot Pedrosa is a first-chair trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience representing financial institutions, consumer products companies, and other businesses in complex litigation. He serves as head of litigation for the Firm's Miami Office.
Eliot has first chaired more than 20 trials and arbitrations, including over a dozen jury trials throughout Florida. His experience spans both products liability and commercial cases involving such diverse subjects as consumer protection, M&A, software licensing, broadcast media rights, wrongful death/personal injury, and international commercial transactions. A native Spanish speaker, Eliot has in-depth knowledge of Latin American law and finance where he served as the Senate-confirmed Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank. He also often counsels and defends clients in connection with regulatory and law enforcement investigations, and earlier in his career served in the SEC's Enforcement Division. Eliot maintains an active pro bono practice in religious liberty cases as well.
In addition to his practice, Eliot serves the State of Florida in two important roles. He chairs the Florida Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, which nominates judicial candidates for appointment by the governor, and he is a member of Florida's Judicial Management Council, a 15-member panel that advises the chief justice of the Supreme Court on the administration of the judicial branch.
