Miguel Bermúdez de Castro has more than 25 years of experience representing domestic and international clients on cross-border corporate and finance matters. Miguel leads the M&A Practice in Madrid and has participated in matters involving private equity, corporate restructuring, project finance, refinancing, and public concessions. He has advised on transactions in a range of sectors such as infrastructure, technology, construction, food and beverage, energy, real estate, health care, sports, and media. He has worked with many Spanish companies on their international expansion into new markets such as Latin America.

Miguel's recent engagements include the representation of Web Financial Group in the sale of its technology business; EagleTree Capital's portfolio company, The Fuse Group, in the acquisition of the leading audiovisual effects company El Ranchito; ACS-Iridium in the divestment of Hospital de Toledo; FleetCor Technologies in the acquisition of Global Reach Group; and CBRE Global Investment Partners in the sale of Montepino logistics group. He has also advised Hornblower in the acquisition of Walks, the multinational MAPEI company in the acquisition of Tecnopol, and Bancalé in its disinvestment in the distributor K-Tuin. In addition, he has represented Grupo Paraguas, a well-known group of restaurants on the sale of a minority interest to Dogus Group and on the project to expand their business in Spain and in different countries, and David Lloyd in connection with its European expansion plan and the establishment of several private leisure centers in numerous locations.

Miguel serves as secretary to the board of several companies and foundations and teaches at the IE Business School.
