BBVA-led syndicate finances two thermo solar plants in Alcazar de San Juan

Jones Day represented Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A.; Banco Español de Crédito, S.A.; Banco Popular Español, S.A.; Banco Santander, S.A.; Bankinter, S.A.; Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad de Madrid; La Caixa; Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank; and Instituto de Crédito Oficial in connection with the €501.2 million (US$712.9 million) project financing for the construction and operation of Aste A-1 and Aste B-1, two thermo solar plants with a total generating capacity of 49.9 MW each, located in Alcazar de San Juan, a town and municipality in the province of Ciudad Real, part of the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain.
