Walter Mostowy's practice focuses on patent litigation involving complex computer technology. His experience includes drafting claim construction briefings, conducting factual and legal research, drafting and responding to motions and subpoenas, and managing and conducting discovery. Walter also has experience in international arbitration and privacy and cybersecurity counseling.

Walter maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients seeking asylum and record clearance.

During law school, Walter authored a student note on AI (artificial intelligence) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which was published in the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. Walter also coauthored with several classmates an article on internet law and policy that won a student prize award at TPRC49 (49th Research Conference on Communications, Information, and Internet Policy), which was published in the California Law Review.

Prior to law school, Walter worked as a software engineer at Google.

  • Cohesity disposes of six-patent litigation brought by adverse competitor CommvaultJones Day successfully represented Cohesity Inc. ("Cohesity") and obtained dismissal in a six-patent, competitor suit filed by Commvault Systems in April 21, 2020.
