Niklas Haas advises national and international clients on German business and corporate law, with a focus on private equity, M&A, infrastructure transactions, and corporate governance. He represents corporate clients, private equity funds, and other financial investors in domestic and cross-border transactions, public takeovers, and corporate restructurings.
Prior to joining Jones Day in the autumn of 2025, Niklas's significant representations included, among others, advising Gulf Energy Development Group on the disposal of its stake in €3 billion offshore wind farm Borkum Riffgrund 2 to a joint venture of Singapore-based Keppel Infrastructure Trust and Keppel Corporation Limited; Trimble Inc. on its €1.9 billion acquisition of Transporeon, a leading cloud-based transportation management platform, from Hg; International Flavors and Fragrances in the sale of its nitrocellulose business, associated production facilities, and the Walsrode Industrial Park to Czechoslovak Group A.S.; TSG Consumer Partners and Backcountry on the sale of Bergfreunde GmbH, a Germany-based online retailer of premium outdoor apparel and equipment, to DECATHLON S.E., the world's largest sporting goods retailer; JAB Holding Company S.à r.l. on the acquisition of AGILA Haustierversicherung AG from Aegidius Rückversicherung AG; and United Talent Agency (UTA) on its acquisition of European soccer agency ROOF Group GmbH, UTA's largest M&A transaction to date.
