FICT secures $50 million jury verdict in commercial dispute
Client(s) FICT Limited
Jones Day, as lead counsel, together with Weil as co-counsel, secured a $50 million jury verdict for FICT Limited by establishing that Ampere Computing LLC ("Ampere") breached the parties' seven-year agreement. Ampere terminated the agreement to avoid paying the guaranteed prices and volumes of semiconductor substrates it had contracted for and not the contract breaches that were the purported reasons. The jury also rejected Ampere's fraud and breach of contract claims.
