Frontis acquires NPL portfolio and implements securitization for issuance of €50 million asset-backed notes

Client(s) Frontis NPL S.p.A.

Jones Day advised Frontis NPL S.p.A. in connection with (1) the acquisition of an NPLs portfolio originated by Aareal Bank AG, Italian branch, and (2) the structuring and implementation of a securitization pursuant to Law 130/99 that provides for the issuance of €50 million partially paid asset backed notes. These notes will fund investments in NPLs opportunities (in the Italian market) endorsed by Frontis NPL S.p.A. and IBL Banca.
