Jones Day advised Atlas Pipeline Partners in connection with an agreement entered into by Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent WestTex, LLC, a joint venture between Atlas Pipeline and Western Gas Resources (an affiliate of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation), whereby Pioneer Natural Resources Company has been granted the option to purchase an undivided 22% interest in the Midkiff-Benedum gas processing system in West Texas for $230 million. Pioneer currently has a 27% interest in the system.
