Jones Day successfully represented a Fortune 1000 company in an age discrimination jury trial in the Eastern District of Texas. The plaintiff was a former Director of Engineering. He had worked for the Company for over 31 years before the Company terminated his employment. He brought suit claiming the Company terminated him because of his age in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. The jury disagreed. After a five and a half day trial, with over a dozen witnesses providing testimony, the jury returned a complete defense verdict.
