Private equity firm obtains victory in working capital arbitration

Jones Day successfully represented a private equity firm in a working capital dispute following the sale of a consumer products company to a Fortune 500 food products company. After the parties could not reach agreement on a proposed working capital adjustment, the dispute was submitted to arbitration. The arbitrator issued an award that was a complete victory for our client. In addition, the arbitrator ruled that the buyer should bear the full costs of the arbitration proceeding.
