Jones Day represented The Wendy’s Company in the refranchising of 154 Wendy’s® and Wendy’s Old Fashion Hamburger® restaurants located in and around Washington, D.C. The transaction involved two transaction, one for the purchase of the restaurants from a long-time franchisee and a second simultaneous transaction for the resale of 140 of the restaurants to another franchisee that immediately took over operations.
