Jones Day represented Axis Capital Limited and Jefferies India Private Limited, as underwriters, in connection with the INR 11.03 billion (US$166.5 million) of Equity Shares in a qualified institutions placement pursuant to Section 4(a)(2) and Regulation S of the United States Securities Act of 1933, as amended, by Strides Shasun Limited, a vertically integrated global pharmaceutical company. At the time of completion, this was the largest ever QIP offering by a pharmaceuticals company in India.
