BBVA-led syndicate refinances two thermosolar plants in Alcazar de San Juan, Spain

Jones Day advised Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A.; Banco Santander, S.A.; Banco Popular Español, S.A.; Bankinter, S.A.; Bankia, S.A.; Caixabank, S.A.; Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank; Sucursal en España; and Instituto de Crédito Oficial in connection with the €445 million (US$498.5 million) refinancing of two thermosolar plants with a total generating capacity of 49.9 MW located in Alcazar de San Juan, Spain. The thermosolar plants belong to Elecnor SA, a Spain-based company engaged in the promotion, development, and administration of projects in the energy, telecommunications, transport, and environmental sectors.
