DDR forms joint venture with Blackstone Group acquiring $1.4 billion EDT Retail Portfolio

Jones Day advised DDR Corp. in connection with the formation of a joint venture with The Blackstone Group to acquire a portfolio of 46 shopping centers currently owned by EPN Group valued at $1.43 billion.

The assignment included advising DDR on issues in the purchase agreement with respect to the portfolio. In addition to real estate representation, Jones Day also provided tax and capital markets advice regarding this transaction.
