Pittsburgh Interior Systems obtains summary judgment on breach of contract action and awarded attorneys' fees, interest and penalties

Jones Day successfully represented Pittsburgh Interior Systems, Inc. as contractor and construction manager in connection with unpaid fees and expenses from a restaurant owner. We filed an action asserting claims for breach of contract and violation of the Pennsylvania Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act. After discovery, we filed a motion for summary judgment. The court granted the motion. The court also awarded attorneys' fees, interest and penalties provided for under the Act, which brought the judgment to over twice the original unpaid amount.
