Macy's defends antitrust class actions involving pricing in cosmetics and perfumes

Jones Day defended Federated Department Stores, including its Bloomingdale's and Macy's West divisions, against several antitrust class action lawsuits filed against Federated and other major retailers in California, alleging a conspiracy to fix prices of cosmetics, including perfumes. A settlement was approved the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 2008.
