Jones Day advised Alfa Group and Access-Renova Group (AAR) in the formation of TNK-BP, a $18 billion 50/50 joint venture between BP p.l.c. and AAR - the largest Russian corporate deal at the time signed at a ceremony attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, which created the third largest Russian oil and gas company and the tenth largest in the world.
