Real estate transactional and construction litigation partner Melissa Billig joins Jones Day in New York
Melissa Billig has joined Jones Day as a partner in its Real Estate Practice. She is based in the Firm's New York Office.
Ms. Billig is an accomplished transactional attorney, construction litigator, and strategic business counselor with more than 25 years of experience advising clients in the development of major real estate projects throughout New York and nationwide. She represents real estate owners, developers, design professionals, and construction executives across their project lifecycles, with a practice that encompasses drafting and negotiating contracts, risk management counsel, claim avoidance, and dispute resolution. Ms. Billig has worked successfully on high-profile, multi-party contract disputes and defective design/construction claims, and she has represented clients in connection with a number of large commercial and residential development projects in Manhattan.
