Jones Day recognized with LatinFinance Structured Financing of the Year award

Jones Day was recognized by LatinFinance with the Structured Financing of the Year award for 2022.

The Firm was recognized for its representation of multiple Mexican development banks in two significant matters. The Firm represented Bancomext, Banobras, and NAFIN (Mexican development banks) and PEMEX, in connection with the amendment and increase of a bridge loan for up to $900 million granted to PTI Infraestructura (a subsidiary of PEMEX), with PEMEX as joint obligor. The proceeds financed the first stages of the modernization works of the Tula and Salina Cruz PEMEX refineries located at Hidalgo and Oaxaca, Mexico.

The Firm subsequently represented Banobras, NAFIN, and Bancomext (Mexican development banks) in connection with a $2.1 billion loan granted to a special purpose Mexican trust for the acquisition of collection rights generated by the Mexican governmental entity Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares.

Each year, the editors of LatinFinance identify law firms that worked with businesses and financial institutions in the region to determine the Deals of the Year awards in a variety of categories. Input is received from analysts, publicly available data, LatinFinance's own database, and information submitted through the nomination process.
