Kaavya Ramesh is a litigator whose skills are drawn from her diverse educational and professional experiences. Kaavya's civil litigation practice includes handling state and federal matters across Pennsylvania; state courts in Kentucky, New Hampshire, and throughout New Jersey; and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. Kaavya also has represented the Commonwealth of Philadelphia as an assistant district attorney (ADA), where she was a member of the Special ATV (all-terrain vehicle) Taskforce.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2022, Kaavya represented insurance companies in bad faith litigation that included drafting pleadings and motions, preparing discovery, and participating in depositions. After graduating from law school, Kaavya served as an ADA where she had the opportunity to prosecute felonies related to gun violence, domestic abuse, and the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics in Philadelphia.
During her time as a law student in India, Kaavya interned with a prominent tax law firm in India, a business law firm in Dubai, and spent two summers working for renowned criminal defense attorneys in India. While earning her law degree at Cornell University, she also had the opportunity to intern with the World Bank in Washington, D.C.
