Charlie Peacock practices corporate law with a focus on M&A, equity capital markets, and private equity and venture capital transactions. She advises public and private companies on a range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including initial public offerings, secondary fund raisings, reorganizations, acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures.
Charlie has experience working with clients in the energy, renewables, infrastructure, private equity, real estate, hospitality, and manufacturing sectors.
Recent significant experience includes advising: Macquarie Asset Management on a range of transactions including the acquisition of interests in Viesgo, sale of Viesgo Renovables to EDP Renováveis, and formation of the Viesgo/E-Redes joint venture with EDP, as well as a number of proposed transactions in the renewables and energy from waste (EfW) sector; Goldman Sachs and Wellcome Trust on the £4.66bn disposal of iQ Student Accommodation to Blackstone; DataBank, a leading provider of enterprise-class colocation, connectivity, and managed services, in connection with the acquisition and financing of zColo, including certain U.S. and European data center assets, from Zayo Group Holdings, Inc; Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd., a technology leader in industrial machinery and environmental and power technologies, in its $46 million investment in Highview Power, a global leader in long-duration energy storage solutions, and separately in its acquisition of Invertek Drives Ltd; and Loungers plc on its IPO.
Charlie also recently spent a year on secondment at Macquarie Asset Management, where she supported the MAM Real Assets legal team.
