Guillermo Giralda Fustes is an international trade lawyer advising sovereign and corporate clients on all aspects of European Union (EU) and World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, policies, and negotiations. Guillermo has helped clients understand and leverage bilateral and regional trade agreements around the world.

Guillermo has represented clients in the WTO dispute settlement system. He has provided advice regarding the full range of WTO agreements and developments. Guillermo also has advised clients regarding other multilateral and regional fora and in the domestic consequences of decisions taken at the international level.

Guillermo's EU practice focuses on trade defense measures (including anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations) and environmental, social, and governance-related (ESG) rules, which includes policies involving the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and the planned Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Guillermo practiced international trade law at an international law firm in Brussels and in Geneva. He also gained experience at the Secretariat of the WTO Appellate Body.
