Shea Flanagan Spreyer represents and counsels clients in complex commercial litigation matters, arbitration proceedings, and investigations. Much of her work is focused on representing financial institutions and corporate clients in disputes involving contract, tort, and statutory claims.

Shea has diverse litigation experience, including briefing and motions practice, e-discovery, fact investigation, offensive and defensive discovery, taking depositions, working with fact and expert witnesses, and arguing in court. She has extensive experience defending financial institutions in claims involving fraud, breach of contract, negligence, and breach of fiduciary duty, among other claims. Her recent experience includes representing private equity firms and corporate entities in post-closing indemnity and coverage disputes based on breaches of representations and warranties.

In addition, Shea has experience arbitrating a variety of commercial disputes, including Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and cross-border International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration matters. Shea also assists in internal and government investigations related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and corporate misconduct.

Shea maintains an active pro bono practice, representing refugees seeking asylum in the United States and participating in the Firm's anti-human trafficking initiatives. Through the Firm's Border Project, Shea recently represented a Venezuelan refugee that secured a grant of asylum based on past political persecution.
