Edouard Fortunet practices intellectual property law, advising national and international clients notably in the tech, life sciences, and luxury & retail sectors. He assists clients on the IP aspects of private placements, cross-border M&A transactions and initial public offerings (IPOs), as well as in activities relating to protecting, creating, enhancing, and enforcing IP rights.
In the transactional area, Edouard has been involved in the IP aspects of numerous IPOs. He has worked on several complex French and international M&A transactions.
Edouard regularly advises clients on domestic and cross-jurisdictional cease and desist efforts against alleged infringers and represents clients in opposition, cancellation, and infringement proceedings before French and EU Courts.
Edouard is particularly involved in the tech, life sciences, and luxury & retail industries and is part of the Firm's multidisciplinary practice team that works to anticipate and respond to the new challenges facing these sectors. He has represented major manufacturers, distributors, and users of products and services in transactional, regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters.
Edouard is a member of APRAM (Association of Trade Mark and Design Law Practitioners [board member]), INTA (International Trademark Association), AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), and AIDV (International Wine Law Association).
