Sarah Conway represents corporations, businesses, and individuals in high-stakes complex litigation. As a commercial litigator, her practice involves product liability, contracts, fraud, consumer class actions, deceptive trade practices, health care, false claims, securities and financial products, and business torts. She has defended clients in multiple bench and jury trials as well as in arbitrations. Sarah is experienced in working on and managing litigation teams on all aspects of litigation, from pretrial pleadings to post-trial motions, and is particularly well-versed in all facets of discovery, including e-discovery and fact and expert witness depositions.
Recent matters include complete dismissal with prejudice in federal court of fraud claims against the former owners of a company following restructuring, as well as obtaining indemnification from that company for defense of the claims. Sarah also represented a company in defeating class certification in multiple cases involving allegations that a client's product had a propensity to develop mold. Other highlights include participating in a product liability trial in state court in Orange County, in defense of Yamaha Motor Co. The trial in this "bellwether" case lasted three months and resulted in a complete defense verdict.
Sarah is on the board of governors for the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and has spoken and written on ethics, jury instructions for affirmative defenses, and damages awards.
