Matt Chung focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, particularly patent disputes in federal district courts across the United States and at the International Trade Commission (ITC). Matt's litigation experience spans a variety of technologies ranging from software to fintech to mechanical devices. Matt is also a registered patent attorney and has full-spectrum trial experience, including client counseling, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, as well as trial preparation and execution. Further, Matt has leveraged his engineering background to assist clients pursuing insurance recovery claims.
Matt also maintains an active pro bono practice that includes representing an unaccompanied child in guardianship and special immigration juvenile status (SIJS) proceedings.
Prior to attending law school, Matt conducted research on metabolic engineering at UCLA. During law school he coauthored an article on telecommunications law and policy with several classmates that won a student prize award at the 49th Research Conference on Communications, Information, and Internet Policy (TPRC49).
