Adam J. Cook

Adam Cook represents clients in patent infringement and trade secret actions in district court and inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). His litigation practice spans a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, electrode manufacturing, robotics, and computer software. He has particular experience in Hatch-Waxman and Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA) litigations.

Adam has prepared and prosecuted patents in the fields of batteries, metallurgy, plastics manufacturing, chemical plant design, medical devices, artificial intelligence (AI), data processing, cybersecurity, safety devices, ordnance, and food processing, including Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and national patent prosecutions worldwide. He also represents clients in ex parte reexamination proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Adam participates in the Western District of Pennsylvania’s Pro Se Prisoner Civil Rights Pro Bono Mediation Program, and beyond his client work, he regularly contributes to Jones Day's PTAB Litigation Blog.
