Stephanie Mishaga is an IP lawyer who handles patent litigation and prosecution. She practices before U.S. district courts and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Her experience spans technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), life science AI applications, wireless communication systems including radio frequency identification (RFID) and distributed antenna systems (DAS), bioinformatics, blockchain, semiconductor devices, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), digital signal processing, database management software, graphical user interfaces, software architectures, medical devices and patient monitoring systems, digital health, fitness equipment, on-board diagnostic (OBD) devices, renewable energy technologies including solar panels and electrical vehicles, electronic nicotine delivery systems, and utility power systems.

Steph is a registered to practice before the USPTO. Relying on her industry experience as an electrical engineer, Steph has drafted and prosecuted patent applications and handled trademark opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Utilizing her patent prosecution background, Steph performs freedom to operate, due diligence, and invalidity analyses. She has handled patent litigations and inter partes reviews. Her trade secret litigation experience includes discovering evidence demonstrating source code misuse.

Steph is a member of the Firm's Women in IP initiative. She also has an active pro bono practice assisting United States Armed Forces veterans. Steph also worked on a pro bono project involving animal law.

With more than five years industry experience as an engineer, Steph has experience with combat systems weapon and sensor software development and OBD devices. She integrated radars, guided missile systems, surface guns, and electronic weaponry detection systems aboard U.S. Navy ships.
