Goodyear to build $500 million tire plant in Mexico

Client(s) Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company

Jones Day represented the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in the acquisition of land in an industrial park in the State of San Luis Potosí, México, for the development of a new $550 million plant. The plant will have an annual capacity of six million units during its initial stage and will create 1,000 direct jobs. The factory is expected to be operational by 2017. In addition, Jones Day is providing contractual and permitting advice in respect to the construction of the plant.
