Jones Day advised Frank Calandra, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based global manufacturer of ground control technology for the mining, tunneling, and civil construction industries, in its acquisition of McSweeney's Inc. McSweeney's Inc. is an Ohio-based manufacturer of drill steel servicing the mining, railroad, construction, and highway industries. McSweeney's Inc. will join the Calandra group of U.S. subsidiaries that includes engineering services, resin and rolled steel manufacturing, custom steel fabrication, chemical roof support, and sealing products.
