Hard Rock partners with Steve Cohen to bid for casino and entertainment complex in New York

Client(s) Seminole Hard Rock Entertainment, Inc.

Jones Day advised Hard Rock International in connection with its partnership with Steve Cohen, owner of the New York Mets, for a bid to secure a downstate New York gaming license. If awarded the license, the partnership would develop, construct and own a transformative $8.0 billion casino and entertainment complex, designated “Metropolitan Park”, next to the Citi Field baseball stadium in Queens, New York. Hard Rock will exclusively brand, manage and operate the integrated casino resort project, which would feature a Hard Rock branded casino and hotel, a Hard Rock Live performance venue, retail shops and various food and beverage venues.
