China UnionPay joins other major technology players in Open Invention Network community

Jones Day assisted China UnionPay Co., Ltd.'s diligence on the Open Invention Network ("OIN") community's cross-licensing agreement, which creates a zone of patent nonaggression for certain core Linux kernel technology. China UnionPay joined OIN and will work with the community members including Google, Microsoft, and Sony to protect open source projects that encourage innovation, which accord with UnionPay's open and cooperative concept.
