Naver invests in K-Fund 1

Jones Day advised Naver, South Korea’s dominant internet company, in connection with its investment in K-Fund 1 alongside chat app partner, Line.

Naver and Line invested €200 million (US$235.4 million) in K-Fund 1, a European investment fund which aims to discover strategic partners and invest in European technology startups in order to expand their business into Europe. The fund was advised by Korelya Capital, a company that was launched in August 2016 by Fleur Pellerin, former French Minister of Culture and former Minister of State for Digital Economy, and Antoine Dresch.
