Potash Corporation defends against EPA enforcement initiative

Client(s) Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, Inc.

Jones Day defended Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, Inc. against an EPA enforcement initiative directed at sulfuric acid manufacturing plants and nitric acid manufacturing plants. The result was an agreed settlement with the government that addressed eight sulfuric acid plants and one nitric acid manufacturing plant at three different PCS facilities with compliance dates extending until 2020.
