Continental Tire obtains reaches settlement in case asserting claims under ERISA

Client(s) Continental Tire North America

Plaintiff sued his former employer, CTNA, and its disability pension plan asserting claims under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA"). He alleged that CTNA and the plan were liable for disability benefits due under the plan and also for statutory penalties based upon an alleged failure to provide information required by ERISA in a timely fashion. The matter was settled in January 2008.
