Mitsui completes US$1.7 billion incremental financing for Hai Long Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan

Jones Day advised Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in the successful completion of a NT$55 billion (approx. US$1.7 billion) incremental financing package in connection with the Hai Long Offshore Wind Power Project in Taiwan. The Project is jointly invested and developed by Mitsui of Japan, Northland Power Inc. of Canada, and Gentari of Malaysia. Construction is progressing steadily toward full completion and grid connection by the end of 2026. Once operational, Hai Long will become the largest single offshore wind farm in Asia, comprising 73 wind turbines with a total installed capacity exceeding 1 GW.
