Menno Geusens

Menno Geusens is an experienced corporate lawyer with a strong focus on multijurisdictional transactions, including M&A (private and public), private equity (including venture capital and buyouts), joint ventures, and the formation and (re)structuring of corporate and investment fund structures. He also advises clients on general corporate matters, including corporate governance, management participations, and employee stock option plans. Menno represents private and public companies, including private equity and venture capital firms and portfolios.

Key representations include: Greystar Real Estate Partners on various entity/fund formations (including the establishment of its Dutch Essential Housing Venture in partnership with Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP); Gimv on various investments (including in Coolword, Joolz, United Dutch Breweries, and Alpine) and various sales (including Coolworld and United Dutch Breweries); Gilde Healthcare on various fund formations; Egeria on the establishment of Egeria Private Equity Fund VI; Aware Super on its acquisition of a majority stake in The July; Aurelius Equity Opportunities in various controlled auctions (including sale of Getronics Group, Solidus Solutions, and Office Depot Europe); Catawiki on its €150 million investment round; Garmin on its acquisition of Tacx; and Avient on the $1.485 billion acquisition of the DSM Protective Materials business.

Menno is a member of the Firm's LGBTQ+ Affinity Group and was one of the founders and board members — and still serves as an advisory board member — of FORWARD, the first Legal LGBT Network in the Netherlands. He is also regularly involved in various pro bono activities and projects of the Firm.
