Axion resolves patent infringement suit in DDE regarding its impedance-based, live-cell analysis products

Client(s) Axion Biosystems, Inc.

Jones Day defended Axion BioSystems, Inc. ("Axion") against a patent infringement lawsuit filed in the U. S. District Court for the District of Delaware by Agilent Technologies, Inc. ("Agilent"). Axion initiated an inter partes review (IPR) proceeding challenging all claims of the asserted patent, after which the district court litigation was stayed and Agilent disclaimed more than half of the patent's claims. The parties resolved the remaining claims as part of a confidential settlement agreement.
