Government pricing and reimbursement lawyer Stephen Forster joins Jones Day as partner in Washington

Stephen Forster has joined Jones Day as a partner in its Health Care & Life Sciences Practice and is based in the Washington Office.

Mr. Forster has extensive experience in the areas of drug pricing and price reporting. He has served as a government attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, as in-house counsel at two pharmaceutical companies, and as outside counsel advising clients on pharmaceutical pricing and government price reporting. He has particular experience with providing strategic guidance on legal and regulatory issues involving Medicare and Medicaid, product distribution, 340B program requirements, and the Inflation Reduction Act.

"Steve has a breadth of experience as a lawyer in government, corporate, and private practice involved in all aspects of drug pricing, price reporting, reimbursement, pharmaceutical market access, regulatory compliance, managed markets contracting, and DEA registration," said Heather O'Shea, co-leader of Jones Day's Health Care & Life Sciences Practice. Mr. Forster joins Jones Day's cross-disciplinary team of lawyers who advise clients worldwide on high-stakes issues across the entire spectrum of the health care and life sciences industry. Mr. Forster has assisted clients with strategic pricing, drug launches, and long-term business strategies. He has also advised and negotiated channel, trade, distribution, and specialty pharmacy contracts for global life sciences companies.

Mr. Forster earned his law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and his undergraduate degree from St. John's University.
