Tommy Zaino represents clients in a variety of federal and state tax controversy matters. His experience includes representing taxpayers at all levels of controversy and litigation, including administrative and trial court proceedings, as well as at the appellate level. He also has experience advising on the tax implications of business transactions and with federal tax credits made available under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2021, he was a clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and during law school, he worked in the University of Michigan's Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic.
