Ashley Zhang advises public and private companies on a range of Australian and cross-border transactions. His experience includes acquisitions, disposals, takeovers and schemes, joint ventures, restructures, initial public offerings, and corporate governance matters.
Ashley has advised clients across a wide variety of industry sectors, including energy and resources, private equity, financial services, and consumer goods.
Ashley recently advised on Parker Hannifin Corporation's $9.25 billion acquisition of Filtration Group Corporation and on Eildon Capital's unsolicited takeover offer from Samuel Terry Asset Management.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2025, Ashley was an associate at a leading international law firm where he advised on the sale of a global leading company's portfolio of strategic international wines in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe; the acquisition of a publicly listed critical minerals mining company by way of a scheme of arrangement; the establishment of a renewable energy development platform in Southeast Asia and on the related acquisitions; and the reorganization of Australian-based solar farm projects as part of a client's global spin-off.
