Jacob Thackston represents clients in complex litigation matters in state and federal courts. His experience includes litigation at the trial and appellate levels and cuts across the civil/criminal divide. Clients for whom Jacob has worked range from health care facilities to family trusts to white collar defendants. He maintains an active pro bono practice by which he has supported indigent criminal defendants, individuals seeking legal status in the United States, and individuals seeking support in housing court.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Jacob served as a law clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Eastern District of Louisiana and also interned with Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Suffolk Superior Court in Boston.
