Renee Pauline Perez is a litigator and counselor representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. She has experience litigating complex employment actions and counseling employers on wage and hour compliance issues and workplace investigations.

Renee has represented large multinational employers in the technology, manufacturing, transportation, hospitality, and shipping industries in litigating class actions, California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions, and single plaintiff discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases. She also has handled responses to prelitigation demand letters and state agency or U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charges brought by employees and by contingent workers alleging joint employer liability.

In addition, Renee has extensive counseling experience. She helped design and implement a statewide wage and hour compliance and counseling program for all California properties of a global hospitality brand. Renee has provided strategic guidance regarding performance management and workplace investigations and has conducted reviews of policy documents to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws.

With respect to traditional labor matters, Renee has advised large health care employers and a publishing company on potential labor issues and during collective bargaining. Renee has also handled responses to Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

During law school, Renee served as Massachusetts SJC Rule 3:03 Counsel at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau and a student attorney at Harvard Defenders. As a law student, Renee successfully served as counsel in a jury trial and represented clients in various matters in state and federal courts.
