Ciera Colon has a decade of experience representing a wide range of clients in a variety of complex commercial real estate transactions. Her practice includes advising corporate clients, including institutional owners and financial investors of real property, real estate developers, landlords, and tenants, as well as national and regional lenders engaged in sophisticated commercial real estate, M&A, and private equity transactions.
Ciera leads transactions involving the sale-leaseback of single and multisite acquisitions and dispositions of industrial, office, and retail projects on behalf of sellers and purchasers; financing and refinancing of real estate assets on behalf of lenders and borrowers; and commercial leasing and subleasing of industrial, office, and retail space on behalf of landlords and tenants. She also devotes much of her practice to advising corporate clients with respect to the commercial real estate aspects of their M&A and private equity transactions.
Recent transactions include the acquisition of two multifamily properties on behalf of a hotel development company, the purchase of designation rights to commercial leases held by one of the largest retailers of party goods, the real estate secured lending of 11 hotel and casino properties in connection with a $250 million loan, and the sale-leaseback of two multipurpose facilities.
Ciera is a member of the Gate City Bar Association and the Norman S. Minor Bar Association. She also volunteers as a coach for the Cleveland State University College of Law Moot Court Team. In her spare time, Ciera enjoys working out and holds a professional bodybuilding card in natural bodybuilding.
