Carl Christmann joined our New Lawyers Group (NLG) in 2025. The NLG provides our newest lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to different practice areas and lawyering styles before making a commitment to a specific practice. Individuals in the NLG may focus on a particular area of practice, or compare practices, during their first year with Jones Day. Carl will be focusing on business restructuring and reorganization.

While earning his second state exam, Carl completed his legal clerkship in the Firm's Frankfurt Office. Prior to joining Jones Day, Carl gained broad experience in corporate law at an international law firm and at the corporate legal department of a global insurance company. During his studies, Carl worked academically as a research assistant and tutor for a university chair.
