Dr. Josepha Biebl

Josepha Biebl advises clients on all aspects of insolvency law with a strong focus on supporting distressed companies as well as other affected stakeholders, including creditors, shareholders, and insolvency administrators. She assists clients in asserting their rights both prior to and after filing for insolvency as well as in the realization of collateral within the context of insolvency proceedings. Josepha also advises buyers and sellers in distressed M&A transactions.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, Josepha worked at several international law firms, where she gained extensive experience particularly in cross-border distressed M&A transactions and in advising lenders before and during insolvency proceedings of borrowers, including the review of restructuring concepts.
