Gülsen Taspinar focuses her practice on advising and representing clients in complex (cross-border) commercial litigation, collective actions, and commercial arbitration, as well as on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. She represents domestic and international clients in corporate and commercial disputes, including tort litigation and director liability claims.
Gülsen's work involves representing clients in complex (cross-border) disputes before the Dutch courts, helping them assess and manage litigation risk at every stage of the proceedings. She has particular experience in collective actions, especially proceedings under the Dutch Act on Redress of Mass Damages in a Collective Action (WAMCA). Gülsen also represents clients in commercial arbitration proceedings before arbitral institutions such as the ICC international Court of Arbitration, and she regularly acts in proceedings concerning the enforcement of international arbitral awards.
In addition, Gülsen has a broad commercial contracting practice. She drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of commercial agreements, including distribution, agency, and purchase agreements, as well as general terms and conditions. Her litigation experience gives her a practical view of how contractual provisions are applied and enforced in disputes.
Gülsen regularly publishes case notes on contract law judgments in the Dutch legal journal Rechtspraak Contractenrecht. She is a member of the Vereniging voor Distributie-, Franchise- en Agentuurrecht (the Dutch Association for Distribution, Franchise and Agency Law).
