Ashley McDonough is a trial lawyer with experience in 12 jury trials in high-risk cases throughout the country, including obtaining complete defense verdicts in two multimillion dollar cases. Ashley's practice focuses on product liability, commercial, and regulatory litigation. In addition, Ashley counsels clients regarding their business practices, including regulatory and litigation risk management.
Ashley has been involved in Jones Day's nationwide defense of smoking and health lawsuits brought against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She has experience in many aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including taking expert and fact witness depositions, consulting with and preparing expert witnesses, and drafting significant pretrial, post-trial, and appellate briefing. Ashley has also developed extensive experience in multidistrict litigation and class certification proceedings and has conducted fact investigations in Department of Justice (DOJ) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) matters.
Ashley maintains an active pro bono practice. As part of Jones Day's Border Project, she successfully secured a complete dismissal of a client's removal case.
